Transparency: TrainingForever wrote this article, and we compete with Good Coach App. That is why every figure links to the official page of the platform it comes from, with the date we checked it, and why we also spell out where Good Coach is the better fit. Good Coach App is a trademark of its owner.

For a wider look at the market, read our guide to the best software for coaches or the comparisons TrainingForever vs TrainingPeaks, TrainingForever vs intervals.icu and TrainingForever vs Final Surge. Here we put TrainingForever next to Good Coach App: what each platform offers, what it costs at your athlete count, and when we would tell you to stay where you are.

How do TrainingForever and Good Coach differ?

Good Coach App is a European platform for coaches and clubs, with a website and apps for Android and iOS, built for people leaving spreadsheets who want to plan, communicate and analyse without a long setup (source, source). It bills the coach per active athlete, with a free plan for 2 athletes, and the athlete does not pay. TrainingForever shares that idea of a fair price, and goes further in the coach’s day: plan endurance and strength in one plan, talk to each athlete, automate the work that repeats and manage payments, with an AI Assistant that knows each athlete.

How much does each one cost?

On both, the coach pays per active athlete and the athlete pays nothing, so the comparison is direct. On Good Coach the standard plan is free for up to 2 athletes; from the 3rd to the 15th you pay €3 for each, from the 16th to the 29th €1.50, and the fee stays at €60 a month up to 100 athletes. The price is net and VAT may apply (source, source). TrainingForever is free for up to 5 active athletes. From the sixth you pay €0.99 for each athlete who is active that month, capped at €49. The table uses the calculator on Good Coach’s pricing page and TrainingForever’s.

Table 2. The coach’s monthly fee by number of active athletes (official prices checked on 5 November 2026, individual plan)

100 athletes€60 (cap)€49 (cap)

Sources: Good Coach pricing and TrainingForever pricing. At any athlete count, TrainingForever’s base fee comes out the same or lower. On TrainingForever, Gems are optional extras, billed monthly with no lock-in: AI Assistant €4.99, Video €2.99, Business €3.99, Automations €2.99, Advanced analysis €3.99, Storage from €1.99, or the full pack for €12.99 a month. On Good Coach, every feature is included from the start.

Where does TrainingForever go further?

TrainingForever is a Spanish platform for coaches and clubs in endurance and strength that brings planning, communication, analysis and the business side into one place: everything you expect from TrainingPeaks, and much more (source).

  • Strength in the same plan: blocks, supersets, circuits, %1RM, RPE/RIR, tempo and rest, with a video exercise library and your own exercises, alongside running, trail, cycling, swimming and triathlon (source).
  • An AI Assistant that works with you: it does not stop at analysing workouts. It knows the file, the load, the calendar and your library; it builds sessions from a text, summarises the group’s load, shows who to look at first and drafts messages. It proposes, and you decide. With the API and MCP you can work from ChatGPT or Claude.
  • Real payment management: rates, online payments with Stripe (card or direct debit), invoices that go out on their own, reminders for unpaid fees, and revenue, MRR and cancellations on your dashboard.
  • Automations, forms and tasks: “when this happens, do this” rules for onboarding, reminders and alerts; wellness, post-session or intake forms that land on the file and warn you if something is out of range; and a task manager that fills itself.
  • A calendar with bookings: meetings, video calls and your own training on the same calendar, synced with Google Calendar, and the athlete books from the phone in the slots you open.
  • Video analysis: record the screen while you talk through the map, the zones and the intervals, and send it to the athlete in their chat.
  • Cheaper at any roster size: free for up to 5 athletes (Good Coach, up to 2) and never more than €49 a month.
  • Workouts on the watch: sends workouts to the watch: Garmin, Polar, Suunto, Apple Watch, Coros and others. If you change a target pace from the phone, their watch has it before they start.

Where is Good Coach stronger?

It is worth saying plainly, because it can decide the choice:

  • More languages in the app: Spanish, English, Czech, French, German, Italian, Polish and Portuguese, for the athlete as well (source).
  • More connected devices: on top of Garmin, COROS, Suunto, Polar and Apple, it imports and exports with Wahoo and Rouvy, and it receives workouts and health data from WHOOP and Amazfit (source).
  • Health data from the watch: sleep, HRV, overnight heart rate and steps from Garmin, Polar, COROS, Suunto and Apple Watch, straight onto the calendar (source).
  • AI analysis of each workout, included: it compares execution with the plan and suggests recommendations at no extra cost (source).
  • Expiry tracking: paid until, medical certificate, licence and insurance for each athlete, with notices on the list and on the calendar, useful for federated clubs (source).
  • Club branding: your own colours and logo in the app, and role-based permissions for assistants, physiotherapists or nutritionists (source).
  • Visibility: you can appear in their coach directory with a card and your own link (source).

Frequently asked questions

Is TrainingForever an alternative to Good Coach?

Yes, especially if you want more than a calendar and a chat. TrainingForever plans running, trail, cycling, swimming, triathlon and strength in the same plan, and adds an AI Assistant, automations, forms, tasks, a calendar with bookings, clubs with several coaches, and payment management with Stripe. It is also free for up to 5 athletes and never goes above €49 a month. Good Coach is the better fit if you need the app in Czech or Polish, health data from WHOOP or Amazfit, or its tracking of licences and certificates.

How much does Good Coach cost for coaches?

On its official website (checked on 5 November 2026), the standard plan is free for up to 2 active athletes. From the 3rd to the 15th it is €3 a month per athlete, from the 16th to the 29th €1.50, capped at €60 a month up to 100 athletes, and €1 per athlete from the 100th. The price is net and VAT may apply. For clubs there is a Club plan from €2.50 per athlete. The athlete account is free.

How much does TrainingForever cost?

It is free for up to 5 active athletes, with every feature and no card. From the sixth, it is €0.99 a month for each athlete who is active that month (all of them count), capped at €49 a month. The athlete never pays. There are optional monthly extras with no lock-in, the Gems: AI Assistant (€4.99), Video (€2.99), Business (€3.99), Automations (€2.99), Advanced analysis (€3.99), Storage (from €1.99) or the full pack (€12.99).

Does Good Coach let you charge your athletes?

According to its website, not through the platform: you can record what you charge each athlete and mark it as paid, but there is no payment gateway, so you take payment yourself. TrainingForever manages online payments with Stripe, by card or direct debit, with rates, invoices, reminders for unpaid fees and revenue on your dashboard (Business Gem, €3.99 a month).

Does Good Coach have strength workouts?

On the official pages we checked on 5 November 2026 we did not find a strength editor with sets, %1RM or RIR; we did find custom activity types. TrainingForever includes strength with blocks, supersets, circuits, %1RM, RPE/RIR, tempo and rest, and a video exercise library you can add your own exercises to.

What does artificial intelligence do on each one?

Good Coach analyses each completed workout with AI: it compares execution with the plan, looks at the intervals and suggests recommendations. TrainingForever’s AI Assistant knows the file, the load, the calendar and your library: it creates and edits sessions and plans from a text, summarises the group’s load, shows who to look at first and drafts messages, and you always decide.

Which watches does each platform connect?

TrainingForever sends workouts to the watch: Garmin, Polar, Suunto, Apple Watch, Coros and others, and the watch data comes back into your analysis. It also connects to Strava, Google Calendar and an API with MCP. Good Coach exports workouts to Garmin, COROS, Suunto, Apple Watch, Amazfit, Wahoo and Rouvy, and it imports activities and health data from those devices and from Polar, WHOOP, Strava and Apple Health.

Can I move from Good Coach to TrainingForever?

Yes. TrainingForever does not offer a direct import from Good Coach: we help you migrate your library, your templates and your athletes. You can import activity history from Strava. Because both platforms connect to the watches people actually use, you can run them side by side for a few weeks before you decide.
